WHAT IS YOUR HYPHEN=DO OTHERS SEE JESUS IN YOU
7-3-2011 Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. {power...: or, the power of the Holy Ghost coming upon you} 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. (KJV) THE LAST STATEMENT OF JESUS AS RECORDED IN ACTS THE LAST COMMAND OF JESUS YOU SHALL BE WITNESSES UNTO ME IN ARMA, CR CO. KS, AND THE UTTER MOST PART OF THE WORLD. WHAT KIND OF WITNESS? 1Sa 17: DAVID COULD NOT BELIEVE SOMEONE HAD NOT KILLED GOLIATH ALREADY BECAUSE HE WAS MOCKING JEHOVAH GOD. 26 And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? 33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. 34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: {lamb: or, kid} 35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. 36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. 37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. 45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. {deliver...: Heb. shut thee up} 47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands. (KJV) LISTEN TO DAVID YEARS LATER Ps 9:1 ¶ < IN ACTS THE WRITER TALKS ABOUT DAVID. Ac 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. (KJV) WHAT A TESTIMONY, WOW. ISAIAH WAS THE PROPHET TO JUDAH AND JERUSALEM WHEN UZZIAH , JOTHAM, AHAZ, AND HEZEKIAH WERE KINGS IN JUDAH. Isa 1:1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. 2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. 3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. 4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. {laden: Heb. of heaviness} {gone...: Heb. alienated, or, separated} 5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. {revolt...: Heb. increase revolt} 6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. {ointment: or, oil} 7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. {overthrown...: Heb. the overthrow of} 8 And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. (KJV) THIS IS GOD’S TESTIMONY AGAINST JUDAH AND JERUSALEM LISTEN TO THE ASSYRIAN KING SENNACHARIB’S TESTIMONY OF JERUSALEM. . Isa 10:1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; {that write...: or, to the writers that write grievousness} 2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! 3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? 4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. 5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. 6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. 7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few. GOD SAYS THAT THE ASSYRIAN KING DOESN’T KNOW THAT GOD IS LEADING HIM TO ATTACK JUDAH, 8 For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings? 9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus? 10 As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; 11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols? (KJV) YOU SEE THE TESTIMONY OF JERUSALEM WAS THAT THEY WORSHIPED MANY GOD’S JUST LIKE SYRIA AND ISRAEL SENNACHARIB SAYS HE HAS DESTROYED MANY CITIES AND COUNTRIES AND THEIR IDOLS. JERUSALEM IS JUST ONE MORE. JEHOVEH WAS THE ONLY GOD AMONG THE IDOLS THAT THEY WORSHIPED. THE TESTIMONY OF JERUSALEM WAS NOTHING DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER CITIES THAT SENNACHARIB DESTROYED. THIS IS THE VERY REASON THAT GOD IS DESTROYING JUDAH AND JERUSALEM. NOW WE HAVE LOOKED AT BOTH SIDES. DAVID AND THE TESTIMONY OF HIM. A MAN AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART. SENNACHARIB WHO SAYS JERUSALEM IS NO DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER CITY. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO ME? WHAT IS MY TESTIMONY. WHAT DOES MY LIFE REFLECT. DO I LOOK JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. BETTER OR EVEN WORSE YET WE WILL ALL GIVE AN ACCOUNTING OF OUR HYPHEN WE WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNTING OF OUR WHOLE LIFE TO GOD
